Wow cool, ball looks alive! I think it's greaat idea! The only comment i have - is the fast part. I can't really say why... I think it's like coming "out of nowhere" because i am looking at the ball (and don't see anticipation of rotating thing), and then suddenly it flyes half the screen in few frames... I don't know maybe you should place rotating thing a little higher and give ball chance to fly up, hang in the air and start falling for a few frames before it got hit and fly away? But anyway it looks great as it is too!
